watch nbc tv tonight for the yellowjackets

The University of Rochester's male a cappella group, the YellowJackets, take to the stage for  round  six of NBC's show, The Sing-Off, tonight, October 31.

They are one of seven teams left on the show that pits 16 of the nation's top a cappella groups — including the Dartmouth Aires and Afro Blue of Howard University — against each other to win a Sony Music recording contract and $200,000.

"We sang our hearts out for Kenya," said Jamal Moore, a senior at the University's Eastman School of Music and the music director of the YellowJackets.

If the YellowJackets win, their money will go toward funding music education and opportunities in Maseno, Kenya,  an impoverished village in western Kenya struck hard by the HIV epidemic.
