quilters display in hammondsport museum

“Stories in Fabric and Thread” will open Friday, September 16, at Hammondsport’s Glenn H. Curtiss Museum.The show features approximately 100 quilts and quilted garments and accessories, made by quilters of all ages from across the Finger Lakes.Each item will be accompanied by information about the quilter and the inspiration and story behind the work.

The show, which closes Nov. 6, will also include Quilts of Valor, an expression of gratitude to service men and women returning from combat.
