support the arts at theatre 101 in mount morris

I received the ambitious fall program from Theatre 101, 101 Main Street, Mount Morris.

First Thursday of every month: OPEN MIC (7:30 p.m. in summer months through September 1; 7 p.m. beginning October 6.)  Livingston County Tourism Jingle Contest through the summer!  E-mail us at for details.

August 20-21, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.:  Mt. Morris Italian Festival.  Stop by Theatre 101 to see live theatre in the Italian Commedia dell’Arte tradition. Performances each hour on the hour in our AIR CONDITIONED theatre!  Players will perform an improvisational 15-20 minute scene and then take to the streets to interact with the crowd. Free!

September 1 at 7:30 p.m.: Last call!  Final leg of Jingle Contest at Open Mic Night for a $100 cash prize!  Performers and jinglers begin signing in at 7 p.m.  FREE.

September 25 at 4 p.m.:  The White Hots!  Save the date!  You don’t want to miss this great band!  They have appeared all over the Rochester area; go to YouTube/White Hots  to hear them. We are so proud to have these musicians (and that voice!) at Theatre 101. $10. Limited seating.  Please reserve ASAP at

October 1, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.:  Hands-On Crafts Show and Workshop featuring Ye Olde Outhouse, Jane’s Pantry, Special Moments and others. Admission price TBA.

October 2 at 4 p.m.  Gone Fishin’ (classic Bluegrass) You bluegrass fans have been asking and here it is, a great afternoon of your favorite kind of music!  $10 at the door.

October 6 at 7:30 p.m.:  Open Mic and FINAL ROUND of the Livingston County Jingle Contest. Summer winners compete; $250 grand prize awarded at the end of the evening!

October 14-November 6, 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 5 p.m. Sundays: Our Early American Short Story Series including Poe By Flashlight and Irving’s The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Visit our Facebook page or e-mail us for specifics. Auditions August 24!

November 12 at 3 and 7 p.m.: Performance by Livingston County ARC Day Treatment Facility. Refreshments will be served; details to follow.

November 18 through December 30, various times TBA:  Our Holiday “Feast,” an assortment of short theatrical plays for the holidays. Performances will include Christmas in Mt. Morris weekend.  Times/tickets TBA.
