a spiritually quenching location for a winery
I've been to a bed and breakfast to visit the owner ( The Parker House owned by Paula Parker in Wallace/Avoca) and now I want to go to the newest winery in New York State in Lodi, Seneca Lake. Both places are established in churches, and there must be something to the uplifting experience. Eremita Winery will open at 10 a.m. Tuesday in a late 1800s former church in Lodi, Seneca County. The owner, Joshua Parker, ( I don't believe he is related to Paula Parker) gave the winery his grandmother's maiden name, Eremita. He used local resources and reclaimed materials to turn the 7,000-square-foot structure into a tasting room with 30-foot ceilings and slate walls while retaining its 200-year-old wooden floors and stained glass windows. The building is at 2155 E Church St.
