Billed as “music lovers’ paradise,” the 21st annual Finger Lakes Grassroots Festival of Music and Dance kicks off today in Trumansburg, and will feature 60 bands performing on four stages over four days.
The festival offers a wide array of music, including world music, roots rock, zydeco, Cajun, bluegrass, old-time, country, folk, Celtic, reggae, hip hop and more.
Grassroots also features ethnic food vendors, arts and crafts, and children’s activities. There will be a colorful parade around the festival grounds at 3 p.m. Saturday.
A four-day pass is $110, while daily passes range from $30 to $45. A camping pass is $80 for the weekend. Admission is free for ages 12 and under.
