life as a teen in the 1800's

The Steuben County Historical Society announces the first of its Winter Lecture Series to be held at 4 p.m. Jan. 7 at the Bath Fire Hall.
The featured topic will be “Teen-Age Life in the 1800s." This presentation will feature professional partners, Diane Janowski and Denny Smith, enacting typical activities of youth in the 19th century.
 Janowski, an lifelong resident of Elmira, serves as editor of the Chemung County Historical Society’s quarterly Chemung Historical Journal. She is an award-winning artist, filmmaker, musician and webmaster as well as having published 26 different titles to date. Smith served as Curator of Collections at the Arnot Art Museum from 1975-1979.
These programs are free and open to the public.
